Okay, everyone has to post something to this segment. I want to make sure that we are all still kickin' it up and deserving of the SLIM Sista's. (Plus, I know you miss my note passing in class!)
Answer one of the following questions, so we know you are still checking the blog:
1. The most recent fun thing you did for yourself, no matter how pathetic.
2. If you had a $1,000 bucks free and clear, and HAD to spend it..what would you spend it on?
3. What song lyrics would you pick to define this week in your life...must say why.

I definitely miss your note passing in class. I was thinking that I needed to post something soon to update everyone.
1. I took a day for myself to go shopping for some new clothes. I love to shop!
2. I would put it towards a vacation with my husband. We have been trying to plan a vacation all year long, but we have not been successful in getting one scheduled as of yet. We want to go to Seattle or San Francisco. So, it would be nice to have the extra cash to motivate us to actually take a trip!
3. This was a tough one for me. I know a lot of songs but not many song titles. One that popped into my head was "A New Day" by Celine Deon. I think I chose this because I have been trying to turn a corner since winter break. I am trying to reflect back on my first semester as a librarian. It has been so awesome! I truly love my job, but I have been feeling pulled in a million directions. So, I am trying to turn over a new leaf and really focus in on the positives. There has been so much change for TJ and I that at times I have been so overwhelmed. But, I am trying to take a new, more optimistic approach.
By the way, we need to plan a trip for you Kansans to come out to Denver. Check your schedules and let me know! I would love to have you guys see our house and get to catch up with everyone.
This covers question 1 and 2.
1) We just got back from Vegas and I had a ball shopping! Josh even went with me :)
2) The money I took was not for gambling...I have to have something to show for my money! I used my hard earned birthday money (:)) to buy not one, but TWO beautiful Coach purses. I am absolutely in heaven.
Over all great trip! Fast and fun. Girls we need to all go out there together. Eat, shop, laugh, eat, shop, laugh!
hmmm...such thought provoking questions...
1. I went on a roadtrip to Indiana a few weeks ago with a friend. We had a fantastic time & we listened to a good audio book. It was a very carefree few days, and just great to get into a different environment for a little while.
2. $1,000...I can think of some credit card bills to put that towards, also a bathroom remodel that never ends, or some cool landscape plants....
3. song for my week, I'll go with the catchy "Roll With It", sung by Steve Winwood. Oh, you know the one that'll be stuck in your head the rest of the day!!
This is my choice because there is just so much going on now at work that I have absolutely no control over. The uncertainty of the school's future & my job. I'm going through the interview process for a new district. Also, it's Catholic School's week, so we had an open house Sunday, another one coming up Thursday night, Science fair judging, I'm in charge of the spelling bee tomorrow, just to name a few things. So....I'm just rolling with it!!
I hope that everyone is keeping well. You SLIM Sistas ROCK!!!
-Mary Ann
Okay, hey everyone.
1)Just got back from Breckenridge, CO ski trip! It was a blast!!!
2)I would put extra money towards my new house, that Jake and I plan to build next year.
3)Songs...I love so many and so many could describe things about me and my life but...one that I really like recently is: Put Your Records On by Corinne Baily Rae. Reason: Just because...
Another snow day today. Makes 3 this year. I'm not complaining, but I don't really think it's that bad out...
1. Went to Starbucks on a Sat morning after the Praxis test, drank my coffee and read the paper...in silence.
2. I would go to a spa for a week. One where you workout and eat great healthy food:)
3. This is tough, but I'll go with Days Go By by Keith Urban. It seems like the days are flying by and times are crazy. Work, kids, you name it...the days go by so fast:)
1. This is sooooooo sad. I went girly shopping- you know new bras and underwear, no need to look at hte price tag- get the one that is the comfy. I also hit a major shoe sale at Dillards and bought four pair. :)
2. I would probably go on a major shopping spree too.
3. I would have to steel Christy's Keith Urban song- Days Go By! That is the story of my life these days, they just fly!
