LJ the Librarian
It is OFFICIAL! The superdt. stopped into my room to congratulate me in front of my class. It was great because it is my class of all boys--all reluctant readers. He introduced me as the new school librarian for the 2008-09 school year--and they clapped and hooted for me! I couldn't ask for better PR than that..plus it made me feel good. I hope to see all of them in the library next year.

Welcome to the profession Lori! :) I am so, so happy for you! NHHS will is lucky to have you. I will get my paint brushes rounded up and be ready to help overhaul that place. It is so great when the kids walk in to YOUR library and not hers! Let me know when. Congrats!
Way to go girl!!! Good luck and when you want to bitch about the LI 878 class......don't call me! Just kidding, I will be glad to listen to you cry and complain over the phone about this class.

Congratulations Lori! We will be in the 878 class together next year. After the B Mirah gave me in Summer Institute, I'm not looking forward to it at all. I think she is a POOR professor. Also, thanks for the book list--we didn't have all of those.
